These remarkable and prominent buildings in Old Town Alexandria, underwent a major restoration by Vaughan Restoration Masonry. The exterior paint was removed and the facade completely repointed. Several arches and brick details were extensively repaired.
This beautiful 1900 brownstone located in Northwest Washington, has undergone extensive restoration. Masonry repairs, repointing, and a thorough restoration cleaning have helped to restore it to it’s original splendor.
Vaughan Restoration Masonry was involved in all of the masonry aspects of this extensive remodel. Windows and doors were moved as well as the position of the gabled roof. A detailed retaining wall was added. The flagstone walk was widened and reconfigured.
This beautiful Old Town Alexandria townhouse, built in 1900, just underwent an extensive exterior restoration. All masonry surfaces were stripped of paint, cleaned with restoration cleaner, and repointed 100%.
This beautiful stone chimney was designed and constructed from the ground up. It includes a lower level open room firebox, surrounded by a matching knee wall. A broken pattern stone floor completes the room. A second floor brick surround firebox was also constructed in the room addition.
